Desktop Configuration Before Logon
To keep your desktop configuration consistent (for example,
even before you logon) just copy the key:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Control Panel
to
- HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel
So, if you have specified a different background color or disabled the mouse
shadow it will take effect even before you logon. You won't have to start
with the default settings and the settings will be consistent. Other
settings should carry over also, such as screen savers.
