Menu Effects

To save time and lighten the processing load of your computer, you can change the fade effect on menus to the Windows 98-style scrolling effect or no effects at all.   Perform the following:

  1. Start Menu > Settings > Control Panel.
  2. Select Display.
  3. Go to the Effects tab.
  4. Under Visual Effects you can check or uncheck Use transition effects for menus and tool tips. If you're turning it on, choose either the scroll or fade effect.
  5. You can also make many other aesthetic changes from here.
