Navigating Help without a Mouse

For information on navigating a Help file without a mouse, in Windows 2000 Professional:

  1. Click the Start button and select Help.
  2. Click the Index tab and type: Help Viewer.
  3. Click the Display button. Select Help Viewer Keyboard Shortcuts.

For example, Ctrl+Tab lets you switch from the Contents tab >> Index tab >> Search tab then >> Favorites tab (if available).  Many other keyboard shortcuts are documented in this topic as well.

Expand each topic then select Print from the Options menu. Store the printed copy away because when the time comes that you need to know the keyboard shortcuts, you won't be able to use the mouse to get them.
