Toggling Printing Notification

By default in Windows NT, the print server sends a notice to the user initiating a print job, cheerily announcing that the printing is completed. This has been turned off by default in Windows 2000, because so many people find this annoying.  To toggle this feature on or off, go to the Print Server and follow these steps:

  1. Click Start > Settings > Printers.
  2. select Server Properties from the File menu.
  3. On the Advanced tab, uncheck the option Notify when remote documents are printed.
