Network Adapter in the System Tray
You can add your Network LAN adapter to the system
tray. This will allow you to easily monitor the device statistics of
the adapter, both Sent and Received bytes.
- Right mouse click My Network Places.
- Choose Properties.
- Right mouse click Local Area Connection and choose Properties.
- Select the option at the bottom Show icon in taskbar when connected.
This will place an icon in the System Tray when the adapter connects to the
network.
By hovering your mouse over the Tray Icon you can quickly view the status of
your Network Adapter.
Double-clicking the tray icon will launch a window to display this
information. Select the Properties button from here to modify the network
settings for this adapter.
