SETTING DATA


GENERAL

It is possible to set values for user variables, Commons variables, and CL records.

Figure 4 shows the Set Values dialog.

Process

Use the following steps to set a variable value:

  1. select a Value Type such as scalar, text, etc.

  2. enter the name of the variable in the Variable Name text field

  3. enter a subscribe as necessary (0 is the default)

  4. specify a value in the Variable Value text field

  5. click the Set Value button (this will be enabled as soon as a variable name has been entered)

  6. if the variable was set, a "note" will be displayed in the lower left part of the dialog indicating the value was set. If it was not set a similar note will be displayed indicating the value could not be set.

  7. to close the dialog, click the Close button

To set values for a CL Record, perform the following steps:

  1. click the Set CL Rec... button

  2. this will launch the dialog shown in Figure 5

  3. to edit the CL record, edit the value in the Current Record Nbr field.

  4.  to edit a CL record word, edit one of the "ICL" or "CL" Word fields shown (Note: one value of the pair must be zero)

  5. to increase the number of Words in the CL Record, you must increment the Number of CL Words spin control. Only the number of words specified here will be set.

  6.  to add more then 8 Words, click the Increment button (up arrow) to see more fields.

  7. to return to the beginning of the Word set, click the Decrement button.

  8.  to set the CL Record values, click the Set CL Record button

  9. to close the dialog without setting any values, click the Close button
