SETTING WATCH LISTS

GENERAL

Setting a watch variable in a post location or as a FIL variable can be done as show below. Figure 2 shows the Define Variable Watch List dialog.

There are four basic types of watch variables that can be specified. These include:

  1. User Variables - these can be scalar, text, point, vector, or matrix variables

  2. Intcom Variables

  3. Dblcom Variables

  4. Relcom Variables

 

SETTING WATCH LISTS

To set a user variable, perform the following tasks:

  1. Specify the desired variable type (scalar, text, point, vector, matrix)

  2. enter the name of the variable in the appropriate text field

  3. specify the variable's subscript if necessary (default is 0)

  4. click the Add > button to move the variable name over to the list on the right side of the tab

To set a Commons (Intcom, Dblcom, Relcom) variable, specify the desired variable number (e.g., Intcom 25) in the field on the left side of the tab and then click the Add > button to move the specified commons over to the list on the right side of tab. To remove any of the variables (user variables or commons), simply select the variable to be removed and click the < Rmv button. To remove all the variables in the list, simply click the < Rmv All button. Once all the desired watch variables have been entered, click the Set Watch Variables button. To close the dialog WITHOUT setting any variables, click the Close button.
