How to Use this Panel

The MCD File Format panel allows you to view and edit the address register. Each address position is specified by the Order number (1 - 26). To change the order of an address:

To edit address information (letter, alias, format, and spec), simply click on the associated "Address" button. Then enter the information in the dialog that pops up.

The new "Alias After" option has been added to OptFile MCD panel. This will allow you to insert a string after an address register and its values. For example, say your want to output X=(12.5) instead of X12.5 in a block. You can use the current alias X as "X=(" and set the alias-after to ")". Also note, the current Alias has been renamed to "Alias-Before". A new set of INTCOM locations named JAFTRAD(26,9) has been defined for this option starting at INTCOM(4358). Initial value is zero meaning alias-after is not set. This is similar to JPARAD(26,9) at INTCOM(2216) with the difference being, INTCOM(2216) is initialized to IEMPTY instead zero. Due to space limitations on the MCD File Format panel, only the Alias-Before alias is shown. To view the Alias-After, click on the associated Address button.

NOTE: if you are using the Option File Generator on a UNIX machine, the Drag-and-Drop capability may or may not work properly; thus, there is an alternative way to set position. Simply click on a desired "Order" button (not available on non-UNIX computers). A small dialog will allow you to enter the desired position of the address.

Sequence #

Address register for machine control data sequence or block numbers. Normally N.

Preparatory functions

Address register for preparatory function code. Normally G.

X-axis

Address register for machine X-axis.

Y-axis

Address register for machine Y-axis.

Z-axis

Address register for machine Z-axis.

X-axis arc

Address register for X-axis arc. Normally I.

Y-axis arc

Address register for Y-axis arc. Normally J.

Z-axis arc

Address register for X-axis arc. Normally K.

CYCLE RAPID Stop

Address register for cycle rapid stop. Normally R.

CYCLE DWELL

Address register for cycle dwell. Normally D.

CYCLE CAM

Address register for cycle cam.

Primary rot. axis

Address register for primary rotary axis. Normally A or B.

Secondary rot. axis

Address register for secondary rotary axis. Normally A or B.

Feedrate

Address register for feedrate control. Normally F.

Spindle

Address register for spindle control. Normally S.

Tool

Address register for tool code. Normally T.

Cutter rad./dia. comp.

Address register for cutter compensation offset. Normally D.

Tool length comp.

Address register for tool length offset. Normally H.

Aux/M-codes

Address register for auxiliary machine function codes. Normally M.
