Sequence Numbers

Parameters

Maximum sequence #

Enter the maximum sequence number allowed by your controller.

Start sequence #

Enter the number you want the first block of machine control data to begin with. For example, if you want the first number to be 1, enter 1 in this field.

Sequence # increment

Enter the number by which you want the sequence numbers to increment. For example, enter 1 to have the sequence numbers increment by 1 (EG: N0025, N0026, N0027). Enter 5 to have the numbers increase by 5 (EG: N0025, N0030, N0035). Note that some CNC controllers require that sequence numbers begin with 1 and increment by 1. Also see the postprocessor command SEQNO.

Turn off Sequence Number at start

Using this option you can set the starting condition for sequence number output to be SEQNO/OFF. This implies that the input file will have a command SEQNO/ON later to output sequence numbers..

Output sequence # every nth block where n =

Specifying a number other than one in this field will cause the postprocessor to output a sequence number only on blocks for every nth record where n is the number in this field.

Sequence # Character

Alignment block

Many controllers allow the use of a special sequence number address to locate restart blocks within a given machine control data file. The postprocessor command SEQNO/NEXT signals the postprocessor that the next output record should contain a sequence number with the address you specify here. Following blocks will revert to the previous sequence number address. Equivalent postprocessor command:

Alias

Alias for the Alignment Block. Enter the string you wish to be output for every occurrence of the Alignment Block character. You may enter up to eight ASCII characters.

Operator Information Block

Output SEQNO on INSERT

This check box provides the option to control whether sequence numbers are included on operator information records for INSERT statements. Some controllers require that operator information blocks must have a sequence number. Others stipulate that they cannot have sequence numbers. Check the box if you wish for sequence numbers to be output.

Output SEQNO on PPRINT

This check box provides the option to control whether sequence numbers are included on operator information records for PPRINT statements. Some controllers require that operator information blocks must have a sequence number. Others stipulate that they cannot have sequence numbers. Check the box if you wish for sequence numbers to be output.

OPSKIP Character

Block delete is available

If block delete is available, the postprocessor generates the block delete character specified in the adjoining field (a forward slash character (/) by default) for the part program section between the postprocessor commands OPSKIP/ON and OPSKIP/OFF commands.

OPSKIP character

This option gives the user the opportunity to set the character output as the block delete character (normally /) in the machine control data file. Block delete characters are used to mark blocks of machine control data that can at the machine operator's discretion be skipped. See the postprocessor command: OPSKIP. The actual value stored in the option file will be the ASCII character's decimal value. Equivalent postprocessor command:

Alias

Alias for the OKSKIP (block delete) code. Enter the string you wish to be output for every occurrence of the OPSKIP character. You may enter up to eight ASCII characters. Be sure to see PLABEL option 63 if you need blank characters to be part of the alias.
