Machine Location / Directory List

The "Machine Location / Directory List" utility allows a user to attach a path to a particular directory or 'machine' name. Thus, if the user has files/machines spread all over the directory system, this will make it easier to locate and access these directories. To use this feature:

  1. click the "Machine Location / Directory List" button (machine.gif) in the toolbar or in the Utilities menu

  2. select a machine-path item and either double click on it or select it and click OK

This will now make your selection the current directory in the main CimPro screen. This list can be modified by adding items (Add button) to it or deleting (Delete button) items from it. The location of this text file is specified in the "config.tbl" file (UNC$MACHINES). You can also manually add or delete items from this file (called machines_list.txt). If you manually edit the file, be sure to not modify the header (one line and one blank line) and make sure the item you add is in the correct format (e.g, "Machine = Path", Note: the are spaces on either side of the "=" sign).

Note: the "machines_list.txt" file's location can be specified in the "config.tbl" file via the "UNC$MACHINES" key. If it is not specified in the "config.tbl" file, the default location will be the Library directory (as specified in the "config.tbl" file).
