Tape Image Output

The postprocessor can print the machine control data exactly as it appears in the machine control data file, or it can format the output in the verification listing. The edited version places a decimal point for decimal registers (X,Y,...) and does not suppress zeroes for integer registers. Check the 'Print as is (non-formatted)' box to print the exact machine control data in the list file. Check 'Print formatted version' to print a formatted version of the machine control data in the list file. Equivalent postprocessor commands:

Mode for RAPID Output

Some machines cannot make rapid traverse moves while in the UPR feedrate mode. The entry you make here causes the postprocessor to shift into the mode you specify before making any rapid moves. After the rapid move is completed, the postprocessor shifts back into the feedrate mode in effect prior to the traverse move. If this machine does not require a prep code for this move, enter NR (not required). Equivalent postprocessor commands:

Inverse Time Feedrate

Some controls require that circular move calculations for inverse time be made using the circle radius where others require that the actual arc length be used. Choose the method appropriate for your machine control. Equivalent postprocessor commands:

Multiple Prep/G-Codes

Check this box if your controller will accept more than one preparatory code in a single machine control data block. Do not check this box if it does not. Equivalent postprocessor commands:

Multiple Aux/M-Codes

Check this box if your controller can act on more than one auxiliary code in a single machine control data block. Do not check this box if it cannot. Equivalent postprocessor commands:

Tool/Block Times

This option controls whether time calculations are output to the list file. The postprocessor will keep track of the individual cycle times of each tool and can output the current cycle time with each tool change. These times may not be accurate representations of actual machine times due to axis acceleration and deceleration and pauses the machine tool may make that the postprocessor is not aware of. The postprocessor also allows printing of machine cycle times at output of each machine control data block. This output includes both block and total machine cycle time. Equivalent postprocessor commands:

Postprocessor Output

This option controls the postprocessor's simulation mode. When the postprocessor is in simulation mode no output is created for the print and punch files. All processing takes place so that all common variable locations with the postprocessor are updated.

This option is frequently used with FIL to minimize the amount of coding as well as the necessity of fully understand the effects of postprocessor commands on common variable settings. Equivalent postprocessor commands:

MODE/MILL-TURN Commands

This option controls whether this option file can be used by the merging postprocessor UNCMRG. Equivalent postprocessor commands:

See chapter 7 of the G-POST manual for details of using UNCMRG.

Blanks on INSERT Statement

This option controls whether the postprocessor will suppress blanks in INSERT statements. See the postprocessor command INSERT for more information. Equivalent postprocessor commands:

Rotary

This option controls the motion analysis of rapid moves. This option applies to non-cycle rapid moves only and operates in each of the optional selections per the following table:

Advancing Spindle

Retracting Spindle

XY and ROTARY then Z (default)

Z then XY and ROTARY (default)

XYZ and ROTARY
