ARCSLP Interpolation
Selecting this option will enable ARCSLP to output circular interpolation blocks G02/G03 with the calculated Z lead. See PLABEL 47.
Note: If this option is not selected, ARCSLP will cause the postprocessor to switch into linear mode and output XYZ motion to emulate helical interpolation for those controllers that do not have the helical interpolation feature. Equivalent postprocessor commands:
PLABEL/OPTION,47,TO,-1 $$ Not available.
This option controls the output of the lead value in the IJK registers as generated by the postprocessor command ARCSLP. Equivalent postprocessor commands:
PLABEL/OPTION,47,TO,0 $$ Absolute value of lead in radians (default).
PLABEL/OPTION,47,TO,1 $$ Lead in radians.
PLABEL/OPTION,47,TO,2 $$ Absolute value of lead in inch or metric units.
PLABEL/OPTION,47,TO,3 $$ Lead in inch or metric units.
Some controllers do not require the K value to be output during helical interpolation. Check this box if you wish to suppress the K output during helical interpolation.
The skip Z-test option only applies for APT programs. For helical motion, you would drive a circle (GOFWD) at a constant Z-part surface and GPost will generate a new Z-value. Subsequent circle motion may fail the test for Z-change and output G01 linear blocks instead of G02/03 codes. To avoid this, check this option.
As a default, the z-value in the ARCSLP/ON,z designates the true lead (z-change per 360 degree motion) for the helical motion, and the GPost will calculate actual z-move based on the arc length. Alternately this can be given as the acutal z-change by CAM systems like Mastercam.
