Enter the prep code that establishes UPM mode (either IPM or MMPM) for this machine (usually 94). If this machine has only inverse time feed available, or if neither IPM nor MMPM are available, enter NA (not available). If the prep code is not available, the postprocessor converts the feedrate to the appropriate feedrate code required by the machine.
Machines that are both Inch/Metric and UPM/UPR switchable often have different feedrate register formats for each combination. Clicking this button will activate the Register Format Dialog box that will provide the user an opportunity to set the feedrate register format for the mode under which it was activated.

Some controllers require that feedrates be scaled, such as inverse time in minutes. Enter a value to multiply the calculated feedrate by, for the mode represented on this panel.
The GPost can automatically output feedrate in UPM mode for any GOTO/cmd with rotary motion. In other words, if the programmed feedrate mode is UPR and a GOTO/cmd caused rotary motion, it will be automatically output in UPM and revert back to UPR for the next XYZ only GOTO/cmd. NOTE: this setting is only valid when inverse time G93 is not available on your machine and set to NA and also both UPM and UPR mode are available.
