System Settings (
)
The CimPro system settings are specified in the "config.tbl" file which is located in the Camsys directory. The system settings can be viewed and edited via two methods:
Graphically via the CimPro dialogs
Manually using a text editor to display the file
It is highly recommended that the first option be used because inappropriate changes to the config.tbl file can cause CimPro to fail or not work properly.
To view the main system settings, perform the following steps:
Click
the System button in the toolbar (
) or select the Utilities / System Settings menu item
to open the CimPro - System Settings dialog
View the main system settings on the first tab
To edit the main system settings once the CimPro - System Settings dialog is opened, perform the following steps:
on the "Main System Settings" tab, click the Edit button for the desired setting. This will open up the Config.tbl Setting dialog or the Programmable Button Setting dialog depending on whether a general setting is being edited or one of the 8 programmable buttons are being edited
if editing a general system setting, edit the Setting Value (directly or via the browse button) of the desired setting
if editing a programmable button, it is possible to edit the Button Label, Button Function, Button Tooltip or specify if the button is to receive the 6 Parameters that CimPro can pass to the application the button refers to
Once edited, click the OK button
To edit other System Settings:
click the "Other Settings" tab
select the desired setting in the Setting Key combo box
edit the setting by editing the Setting Value or the Setting Comments
Note: it is possible to delete a setting or add setting by clicking the Delete Setting button or the Add Setting... button respectively
