Text Editor

The CimPro application uses a text editor for viewing and modifying text files (e.g., LST files, Punch files, source files, etc.). You can use any text editor you desire. The text editor is specified in the "config.tbl" file and can be modified by modifying the config.tbl via the CimPro system settings or by modifying the config.tbl directly.

To modify the text editor setting:

  1. click the System Settings button in the toolbar or the System Settings menu item in the Utilities menu

  2. from the CimPro - System Settings dialog, click the Edit button adjacent to the Text Editor text field. This will display the Config.tbl Settings dialog

  3. enter the desired application path (or use the Browse... button to select from a File Chooser dialog) in the Settings Value field and click the OK button

  4. click the OK button on the System Settings dialog

Note: if a text editor has not been specified in the config.tbl, you will need to add this setting to the config.tbl (see the System Settings section for details).
