What's New?

Version 6.0

Version 6.0 includes the following new features:

  1. It is now possible to have CimPro launch the LST and/or Punch files immediately after processing the APT or CL file

  2. A keyword (APT_PUNCH_EXT) can be added to the "config.tbl" file to allow specification of non-normal (*.pu?) punch file extensions.

  3. Removed the main "multi-file processing" buttons (they were optionally visible) and menu items Functionality still remains via the 2 toolbar buttons.

  4. Grouped the main function buttons (on the left side of the CimPro screen) and re-worded some for better usability.

  5. With the addition of the GPost Debugger application to our product line, updated CimPro to allow for the Debugger to be launched and debug the current GPost file.

  6. Added "Gibbs CAM" to the CAD/CAM list.

  7. Added an additional "look-and-feel (L&F)" to CimPro. The default "Java Metal" L&F and the "Windows L&F" are now the 2 L&F's (Windows platforms only).

 

Previous Version (5.9)

Version 5.9 includes the following new features:

  1. For the PC version, an updated Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version is being used. The version is 1.4.2 and comes as part of the "ncjlibs" directory in the installation of CimPro.

  2. In the "Source File" text field on the main CimPro screen, it is possible to type the desired filename without the extension (e..g., "instst" instead of "instst.apt"). See the APT Processing section for more details.

  3. Improved multi-file process capability - especially for ProNC mode.

  4. There is a menu option under the Utilities menu that makes it possible to "reset" the CimPro dialog back to its original size.

  5. Java File Chooser - improved the usability / performance of the File Chooser. CimPro now stores a separate file filter list and default filter for APT processing and GPost processing between sessions. Also, in PC versions, the Java File Chooser can be set to display files in multiple columns (like Windows) or in a single column (as has been).
