Upper Guide

X - Address

Upper guide X-axis address. Enter the address of the register used by the upper guide X-axis (EDM).

Y - Address

Upper guide Y-axis address. Enter the address of the register used by the upper guide Y-axis (EDM).

Pulse

Upper guide axis resolution. This value describes the minimum amount of movement for the upper guide axes. The minimum value is 0.000001 (EDM).

Wire Height

Enter the height of the upper guide, measured from the programmed z plane (EDM).

Output Method

Upper guide output type:

• Absolute Values - Output is output is in absolute values.

• Dist. From Lower Guide - Output is to be incremental distances from the lower guide.

• Dist. From Prev. Upper Guide Position - Output is to be incremental distances from the previous upper guide position.

• Angles from Lower Guide - Output is to be angular displacement from the lower guide.

• Angles from Prev. Upper Guide Position - Output is to be angular displacement from the previous upper guide position.

CLW along X normal

Check this box if a positive angle will tilt the wire in a clockwise direction in the lane normal to the direction of the X-Y motion.

CLW along Y normal

Check this box if a positive angle will tilt the wire in a clockwise direction in the lane parallel to the direction of the X-Y motion.

Lower Guide Offset

Enter the offset value from the lower guide reference plane to the programmed z plane (EDM).
